Are you or someone you know interested in becoming a Catholic or learning more about the Catholic faith? A new RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) program will begin on Sunday October 3rd.
RCIA is a process of study, exploration, faith-sharing, and faith formation. Seekers and inquirers are non-baptized adults who desire to be fully initiated into the Roman Catholic Church and/or baptized adult Christians who desire full communion in the Roman Catholic Church.
All people who are open to discerning their personal experience of faith and learning more about the Catholic Church are welcome. People come to an awareness of their desire to learn about membership in the Catholic Church in various and different ways. Often it may be a personal faith experience, overcoming personal difficulty and tragedy, or a relationship or discussion with a person of faith which leads one to begin this exciting journey. All that is truly required is a sincere desire to learn, grow, and develop one’s relationship with God.
At St. Mary we are forming an RCIA group to prepare interested adults for reception into the Church at the Easter Vigil on April 16, 2022. The group will meet three Sundays each month from October until April, in the morning from 9:30 to 10:45, concluding before the 11 a.m. Mass. If you or someone you know is interested or would like more information, please contact Deacon John Nicholson or call the parish office at 617-734-0444.
