News November 5, 2019

ST. MARY - Anyone in need of a Thanksgiving dinner box, please call the Rectory at 617-734-0444 Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Starting this year our Thanksgiving Outreach is being organized by the St. Vincent de Paul Society which will provide boxes with a complete dinner.  If you would like to donate $15 towards a box, please put a check payable to St. Mary Parish or place money in an envelope marked for Thanksgiving Donation and drop it in a collection basket during Mass or at the rectory at St. Mary or sacristy at St. Lawrence.

ST. LAWRENCE - The St. Lawrence community is collecting food and turkeys for needy families in Brookline and beyond.  A table with sign-up sheets is located at the west side of St. Lawrence Church.  The goal is to collect at least forty 18-20 pound frozen turkeys.  Ten of these will be included in Thanksgiving dinner baskets for those in need in our parish; each basket will also contain cans of peas, corn, gravy, squash, cranberry sauce, onions, potatoes, stuffing, and an apple pie.  The remaining thirty turkeys will be for the Crossroads Food Pantry in East Boston.  Any extra food collected will go to the Brookline Food Pantry.  All donations must be delivered by the end of the 9 a.m. Mass on November 24.  Please sign up to contribute and be as generous as you can.
