Music Ministry

ST. MARY'S CAMPUS:  Join together in song, under the talented direction of our choir director. Rehearsals on Sunday morning at 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. in the choir loft. Sing at 10:30 a.m. Sunday Mass, as your schedule allows. ST. LAWRENCE CAMPUS:  New members are welcome. The choir meets at 8:30 a.m. to prepare for the 9 a.m. Mass. Optional periodic evening rehearsals. With limited rehearsals, musical training and/or willingness to work on your own will be helpful. Contact Warren Hutchinson at Warren.Hutchison@leclairryan.com

Mother's Prayer Group 

We meet with our young children in the lower church two Mondays of each month at 10:00 a.m.  Check the bulletin for dates.  For more information contact Erin at mirandam@aol.com.

Sunday Rosary Group

Every Sunday after the 12:00 noon Mass.

Eucharistic Adoration

Friday following the 12:10 p.m. Mass concluding with Benediction at 1:30 p.m. The Blessed Sacrament is exposed and adored by volunteers who sign up for one hour or more to pray before the Lord Jesus present in the monstrance.

Finance Council

Advises the pastor on financial matters of the parish and school. Responsible for monitoring all income and expenses, and approving the annual budgets.

Offertory Counters

A group that counts the funds collected at Mass each week. Each group volunteers about once a month.

Parish Pastoral Council

The PPC is involved in most activities and programs affecting the liturgical and spiritual life of St. Mary of the Assumption Parish.

Stations of the Cross

Held Friday following the 12:10 p.m. Mass during Lent.

 

Bereavement Group

St Mary's holds a Bereavement Group meeting on Wednesday evenings - ALL ARE WELCOME!  Please call Janet 617-462-9235 for more information.

Book Club

The Book Club meets the last Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the rectory conference room.  Check the bulletin for more information.

Altar Server

Boys and girls from grade 3 and above assist the priest at the liturgy.

Baptism Preparation

To help prepare parents for the formation of their child’s faith. Last Sunday of the month for baptisms the following month (or a future month) right after the 12:00 noon Mass in the rectory. 

Eucharistic Minister

Extraordinary Ministers of Communion who serve the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass and to the sick and homebound.

Lector

Reader who proclaims the scriptures at Mass and other services.

RCIA

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults – preparation of adult candidates for entry into or full communion with the Catholic Church.  For more information, contact Christine Nadjarian (617-734-0444 ext 302 or stmarybrooklinereled@gmail.com).

Usher

Volunteers who assist people to their seat if necessary. They also take up the collection.
